RV Winterizing & De-winterizing
A North Georgia cold snap catches a lot of RVs with water still in the lines. We winterize using food-grade antifreeze to protect against cracked water heaters, split lines, and busted tankless water heaterlines — the most common (and most expensive) freeze damage we see.

Come spring, we de-winterize and get the RV travel-ready again: flushing antifreeze, checking for leaks that developed over winter, and confirming everything from the water heater to the faucets are working before your first trip.
Signs you need winterizing (or de-winterizing:
• Overnight temperatures are about to drop near or below freezing
• You're storing the RV for the season
• Spring is here and you haven't flushed antifreeze yet
• You're not sure if last year's winterizing was done correctly
• You bought a used RV and don't know its winterizing history
• You want to use the RV in shoulder-season cold snaps
FAQs:
Do you use RV-safe antifreeze?
Yes, food-grade antifreeze made specifically for RV water systems.
What happens if I don't winterize?
Water left in lines can freeze and crack water heaters, pipes, and fittings — often a far more expensive repair than winterizing itself.
How do I know if my RV was winterized correctly?
If you're not sure, it's worth having it checked before a freeze rather than after — we can verify or redo it.
When should I de-winterize?
Right before your first trip of the season, so antifreeze doesn't sit in the system longer than necessary.
Do you check for leaks during de-winterizing?
Yes, we check the whole water system for anything that may have failed over winter.

"This team knows what they’re doing! They respond quickly and came out the day I requested. They helped us know what we need to do for our camper and helped us on fixing things we had not even noticed until they showed us. They worked quickly and are very kind people. They do all the dirty work so you don’t have to! Then take pictures so you can see what they saw too, like on the roof. Highly recommend them!"
