RV Bearing Repack (3.5k-8k axles)
Bearings that aren't repacked on schedule are one of the most preventable causes of catastrophic axle failure on the road. We repack wheel bearings on 3.5K to 8K axles for travel trailers, 5th wheels, and utility trailers, on-site, at your storage lot or home. While we're repacking bearings, it's a good time to also have the rest of the exterior checked — awnings, slide toppers, and roof seals hold up better when everything's inspected together.

Every repack includes a brake and tire check, since we regularly find worn brake pads, missing magnet clips, damaged leaf springs, misaligned wet bolts or insufficient/too much grease during service — the kind of thing that's cheap to catch here and expensive to ignore. We also handle axle replacement when needed, and don't forget to retorque your lug nuts before 50 miles. Check out our Road Trip Safety Checklist blog post.
Signs you need our RV Bearing Repack Service
• Grinding or growling noise from a wheel while driving (most likely a brake issue)
• Wheel feels hot to the touch after a drive
• Grease visible on the inside of a wheel or tire
• It's been over a year (or several thousand miles) since the last repack
• Wobble or looseness in a wheel
• You're about to leave on a long trip and haven't checked bearings recently
FAQs:
How often should RV bearings be repacked?
Generally once a year or every 12,000 miles, whichever comes first — more often for heavier trailers or frequent towing.
What happens if I skip a bearing repack?
Dry or worn bearings can seize or fail on the road, which often takes the wheel and brake assembly with them — a repack is far cheaper than that repair.
Do you check brakes during a bearing repack?
Yes, every repack includes a brake and tire check at no extra charge.
What axle sizes do you service?
3.5K through 8K axles on travel trailers, 5th wheels, and utility trailers.
Can you come to my storage lot to do this?
Yes — we're fully mobile, so there's no need to tow your RV anywhere.

"Highly recommend! They even showed up a few minutes ahead of schedule, great communication, and professional. This husband and wife team work efficiently together and go above and beyond. We had a list and they worked through it, checking off each item and finding things that we never could have found ourselves (i.e. on the roof). We are hoping they will be our “go to” rv repair folks for a long time!"
