Murphy is Cherokee County's seat and the westernmost city of any size in North Carolina, sitting where the Hiwassee and Valley Rivers meet near the Georgia-Tennessee line. Lake Hiwassee and the surrounding Nantahala National Forest bring a steady stream of RVers through the area, and we make the short run out from Blairsville to reach them.
