Hayesville, the Clay County seat, sits on the North Carolina side of Lake Chatuge, right against the Nantahala National Forest — close enough to Blairsville that it's a regular part of our service loop. Campers here range from lakefront RV parks to Forest Service sites like Jackrabbit Mountain, just up the road.
