RV Water Heater Repair & Maintenance

No hot water is one of the most common calls we get. We repair and maintain gas, electric, and tankless RV water heaters on-site. Water heater problems can often trace back to a wiring issue or a water line elsewhere in the system.

We work on Dometic, Suburban, Furrion, and Girard units, plus more, including heating element replacement and troubleshooting gas versus electric ignition faults. If a full unit needs replacing, we handle that too. Most calls are same-day or next-day when you're in our home area around Blairsville unless a full replacement is needed.

Signs you need our RV Water Heater Service

• No hot water at all
• Water heater won't stay lit or ignite
• Water is scalding hot with no way to adjust
• Popping or banging noise from the tank
• Water leaking from the back of the unit
• Rotten-egg smell from hot water taps

FAQs:

Why does my RV have no hot water? Could be a bad heating element, an ignition fault, or (on gas units) a dirty burner — we check gas and electric sides both. Be sure to check the bypass valve is turned properly.

Should I repair or replace my water heater? If the tank itself is rusted through, replacement is necessary. If it's an electrical or ignition part, repair almost always makes sense.

Do you work on tankless water heaters? Yes, including Furrion, Suburban & Girard tankless systems.

What causes a rotten-egg smell from hot water? Usually a reaction between the anode rod and sulfur bacteria in the tank — a quick anode rod swap typically fixes it.

How long does a water heater repair take? Most repairs are same-visit; full tank replacement may take a bit longer depending on access and parts ordering.

Why does my water heater work on gas and not electric (vice-versa)?

It could be a bad element, relay, ECO-Tstat, or control board.
