My RV gets cold!

Writer: Patrick HoyerPatrick Hoyer

Camper Living in the Winter. When the temperatures drop into the teens or single digits, we like to crack open our cabinets (especially the ones in a slide and that have plumbing pipes) so that more heat gets to all of the pipes and any containers that have liquid in them. This practice is essential for preventing any potential freezing of the plumbing system and ensuring that our water supply remains functional throughout the frigid months. We do this even though we have a 4 season camper, which is designed to handle colder temperatures better than standard models. However, even the best insulation and heating systems can struggle when faced with extreme cold.
